Mama Coco in Real Life Dies

Sad news from Mexico. Maria Salud Ramirez Caballero, the woman who inspired Mama Coco in the Pixar animated film Coco reported to have died. Mama Coco died at the age of 109 years. This news was first conveyed by Roberto Monroy, Secretary of Tourism for the state of Michoacan, Mexico.

“I deeply regret the death of Doña María Salud Ramírez Caballero, ‘Mamá Coco’, a tireless woman and a role model for life,” Roberto wrote in his personal account.

Maria lives in Santa Fe de la Laguna, the city that is also the inspiration for the film Coco. During his life he was known as a humble potter. For the rest of her life, Maria was reported to have suffered from lung disease which forced her to use a breathing apparatus.

Although many people believe that Maria is the character that inspired Pixar and Disney in the film coco, in fact Disney never officially acknowledged it.

Animated movies Coco itself was released in 2017 and became the best animated film that year. This film is about a boy named Miguel who is forbidden to like music by his extended family. Music for Miguel’s family is taboo because his great-grandfather was a musician who abandoned his family.

In a festival of death. Miguel magically penetrates another realm and meets his great-grandfather who apparently doesn’t mean to abandon his family. Film Coco touted as the saddest animated film Pixar and Disney have ever made.

Film Coco started production in 2011 and officially aired in 2017. Before being released to the public. The film was screened for the first time at the Morella International Film Festival which took place in Mexico.
