Florence Pugh is now one of the shining young Hollywood actresses. After appearing as Yelena Belova in Black Widow (2021), Pugh returns to the big screen through film psychological thriller entitled Don’t Worry Darling. In this film, Pugh is paired with One Direction personnel who are now quite active in the acting world, namely Harry Styles.

For those who have seen the trailer and various promotions Don’t Worry Darling, you must be so sure that this film is set in the 1950s era. But about half an hour towards the end of the film, you’ll find plot twist which is quite unexpected. Sadly, plot twist this just appeared too close to the ending of the film.

Plot twist which only appears at the end of the film is already common in the world of cinema. However, for the case Don’t Worry Darling, plot twist too close to ending finally makes the climax of this film run in a hurry. As a result, there are still many questions about this film that have not been completely answered.

Most of the film is spent showing Alice’s confusion about her life, which tends to be long-winded. The audience’s curiosity is built too long just to see a climax that is too short. Whereas, plot twist This film has a lot of potential if only the climax portion was increased. If Don’t Worry Darling quite successful, it seems necessary if this film is made a sequel to answer things that are not completed from the previous film.

The film may feel slow to some. However, it cannot be denied that Don’t Worry Darling displaying visuals that are very pleasing to the eye. The beauty of the cinematography produced by cinematographer Matthew Libatique looks so consistent from the beginning to the end of the film. The beautiful cinematography of this film is also supported by a set design that is so intentional.

Team production design, make-upand wardrobe Don’t Worry Darling certainly deserves thumbs up. They managed to show the nuance extravagant 1950s era, which further supports the beauty of this film’s cinematography. The design of the setting for the film to the various clothes used by the actors have succeeded in being a sweetener.

One of the elements that make up the feel thriller so it’s quite felt Don’t Worry Darling is scoring the film. Scoringit sounds quite unique and not too much to create a tense atmosphere. The simplicity of scoringit is quite successful in building the audience’s anxiety during the course of the film.

In terms of the game world, Florence Pugh can be considered as a carry main in Don’t Worry Darling. Without his brilliant acting, this film would probably lack its appeal. I was so passionate about it, Harry Styles, who was Pugh’s co-star, seemed less successful in keeping up with him. Fortunately, Styles’ share of appearances is also less than Pugh’s.

Those of you who have watched Pugh’s films before must have known how great Pugh is in displaying various expressions. Through his expression, Pugh managed to invite the audience to feel the happiness to the frustration experienced by Alice. For the actors who play supporting characters, they perform quite well in their respective portions.

Behind the drama that goes on behind the scenes, Don’t Worry Darling is actually a pretty interesting film with plot twist unexpected and potential. Unfortunately, the climax of this film also does not answer many questions that arise throughout the film. Even though the story is not satisfying, you are guaranteed to be satisfied with the visuals and appearance of Florence Pugh in this film.
