Houkago Manga Getting Anime Adaptation!

Dafunda Otaku – Manga genre of fishing essay Yasuyuki Kosaka titled Houkago will be adapted into an anime, this announcement was made through ‘s Magazine Akita Shotenthat is Young Champion Retsu on September 16.

A website for the adaptation has also opened and features a new visual for the anime adaptation, and, an illustration with a message from the manga’s creators themselves:

The manga that received this anime adaptation focuses on a character named Hina and the group consists of 3 high school students. The main character of this anime, Hina, is a girl who likes indoor activities such as crafts and others. Due to several factors, Hina moves to the edge of the ocean so that she can continue her education in high school with her friends.

Kosaka himself launched this manga in a magazine called Houkago Teibou Nisshi (Afterschool Embankment Journal) in September 2022 and that was also his debut.

Akita Shoten previously released the third volume of the manga in November 2022 and the fourth volume for the manga will be released on September 19.

Apparently, not only making manga, Kosaka has also been a character designer for an anime project entitled Ryuu no Haisha (The Dragon Dentist). This anime itself previously opened the way in Japan Animator Expo in 2022.
