Free Fire Champions Cup 2022, Indonesia will be the host

Free Fire Champions Cup 2022 is the first international tournament to be launched by Garena in early September.

This tournament will bring together 12 teams, each from 4 continents, namely, America, Europe, Africa, and also Asia.

The election of Indonesia as the host of this tournament was not an easy process, as compiled from the statement Director of Garena Indonesia Father Hans Kurniadi he explained that, “Indonesia was selected through a fairly tough process and bidding”.

With Indonesia being chosen as the host of the biggest Free Fire tournament, it shows that the growth and development of the esports industry in the country is getting better every year.

Drs. Gatot Sulistiantoro Dewa Broto, MBAstate that “The Ministry of Youth and Sports welcomes the Free Fire Champions Cup 2022 tournament, and supports the success of this tournament. We hope that this tournament can enrich, and add to the number of esports events in Indonesia.”.

The Free Fire Champions Cup tournament itself, apart from being supported by the Director of Garena Indonesia, the Secretary of Youth and Sports, also received full support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, namely Wishnutama Kusubandio.

The tournament itself will be held in Jakarta on September 19, 2022. The Free Fire Champions Cup itself will provide a Prize Pool of IDR 18.8 billion.
