What is Map Valorant?

Valorant is a 5v5 tactical shooter created by Riot Games. So far there are five maps with one goal: plant or defend against bombs (called “spikes”).

The four playable maps are called Bind, Haven, Split, Ascent and Icebox. There’s also a shooting range where you can sharpen your aim or practice simulated situations like defending the spikes you’ve planted.

Each map also has two ultimate balls in neutral locations that the team can try. The ball gives one final point from the agent who took it.

Explanation of Valorant Map and its Types

Bind is divided into two locations, namely A and B which have attacker that infiltrated the shore. Site A can be accessed through an alley in the center of the map called “short A” or through a building passage called, “showers”.

Site B can be accessed via a path along the beach called “long B” or through a market and window called “hookah.

The unique aspect of this map is that there are two teleporters with one direction. One teleporter takes you from point B to the side of the “showers”. Others take you from short A to the “hookah” side. This allows attackers and defenders to quickly rotate or flank the opposing team.

The teleporter is so noisy that it’s a bit risky to do so if the enemy notices it. Players can also throw projectiles, drones, and weapons via teleporters.

One ultimate orb can be found in the shower while the other is in “long B” right in front of the teleporter.

Haven consists of three three site maps (A, B, C), which is unique considering that most bomb/defusal maps in FPS games usually only have two sites.

Site A can be accessed via an L-shaped alley called “short A” or via underground passages called “sewers” (A-short).

As expected, long A is more suitable for temporary ranged combat sewers suitable for close combat.

Site B can be accessed through a window that leads to an outdoor courtyard. The page also leads to a set of doors called “garages” that allow attackers to sneak into Site B.

The garage also acts as a link to Site C, so attackers who manage to get past it can threaten B and C.

Split map

Split has been added on the first day of closed beta. The two sites are at the far left and right of the map with a central area giving the highlands dominance.

The unique mechanism here is that there is a rope that allows players to go up or down quickly and quietly to go to certain locations. Players can find them in A Sewer, B Rafters, and Mid Vent.

Ultimate Orbs can be found in A main and in B main or what is known as garage.

ascent map

Ascent is the first new map added since Valorant was officially released. This is a map of two sites located in Venice, Italy.

Compared to other maps, Ascent has the most open area with a large page in the center of the map.

Pages offer quick shortcuts to the sides of the map but are quite risky to walk through because they aren’t very covered. Another distinctive feature that is unique is the door that can be closed.

At each defense site, there is a door that can be opened or closed using a switch. The door is armored but could be damaged.

Icebok was released in Beginning Of Act II and takes place at tundra climate. This map has a lot of verticality and angles to cover, so it’s the most complicated map released.

When viewed, this map bears a large ship in the middle of the snow mountains.

There are unique features such as horizontal straps (which work in conjunction with Split vertical straps) and two-tier planting locations. Which means players have options low ground for planting and also the highlands.

This is a great map for agents like Raze, Jett, and Omen who are able to make good use of all the squares. Meanwhile agents like Sova and Cypher might find it difficult.

The reason was, because Sova would be easy to hide from sonar arrow and Cypher because he has a lot of access points so his Trapwires may not get as much value as usual.

However, there is already a new line up from Valorant that allows Sova to move freely in this map. To use Sova from the Attacker site, you can fire a recon bolt at towers outside the map.

The arrow will then bounce off the ship outside the map and stick to the back wall of site B. This method can be used to execute site B.

Shooting Range

Shooting Range

This is the last map that is suitable for practicing and honing player skills. Here, players can change agents and weapons at any time (and can even test characters they don’t have).

In shooting rangeplayers can shoot dolls spawn or dummies spawn at different speeds and settings such as strafing. There is also an area that is specifically used to shoot targets from a distance to test the effectiveness of weapons.

Players can also train themselves such as planting spikes then defending from bots to improve composure and abilities in clutch situation.

Well, that’s the explanation of Map Valorant and its types. Hopefully useful and continue to visit the Champions web for the latest and most updated information about esports.
