Number of Teams

FFML Season 2

The most obvious first change in FFML Season 2 is the number of teams that will participate in the tournament. As reported by, FFML Season 2 will be participated by a total of 18 teams. Of course, this number is quite surprising for FF fans because in FFML Season 1, as many as 24 teams participated in the tournament.

Garena Indonesia did not mention the reason why the number of teams participating in FFML Season 2 decreased. It is possible that this is a measure to prevent COVID-19 as the tournament will be held offline, but Garena did not state that this was the reason.

Difference in Number of FFML Season 2 Groups

Not surprisingly, with the decrease in the number of participants in FFML Season 2, the number of groups in this FF major tournament has also decreased. This time in FFML Season 2, teams will be divided into 3 different groups where each pot will have 6 teams. Previously in FFML Season, teams were divided into 6 groups and each group had 4 teams.

1st and 2nd group positions will advance to the Grand Final of Free Fire Indonesian Masters (FFIM)

Previously in FFML Season 1, the team that won 1st place in each group would advance to become the Grand Finalist of FFIM Spring 2022. However, this time in FFML Season 2, the runner-up from each group will also be entitled to advance to the final round of FFIM Fall 2022 .
