You may not know that laptops or sometimes called notebooks have types based on their use. Based on the advantages and disadvantages of specific uses, laptops can be divided into 7 types. The following are the types or types of laptops that can be found today.

Traditional Laptop (aka Notebook)

This type of laptop is the most widely available type of laptop on the market. Traditional laptops are generally only called laptops or often called notebooks. Typically, traditional laptops have screen sizes from 11 to 17 inches. This type of laptop also generally has a Windows, macOS, or Linux operating system.

This type of laptop is now a trend for the latest laptop types because of its flexibility. This type of laptop is a laptop that can also be used as a tablet. Just like a tablet, this laptop uses a touch-screen for the screen. Even sometimes this laptop also provides a stylus to interact with the screen.

As the name implies, this type of laptop has a screen that is designed to be rotated, folded 360 degrees or removed. So this laptop can be used as a tablet easily. This type of laptop also has a thin design that looks like a tablet. However, this type of laptop is equipped with a fairly long battery life and the ability to run design programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

Desktop Replacement

This type of laptop is a type of laptop that violates the term laptop. Because you probably don’t want to put it on your lap. This type of laptop is not concerned with convenience when carrying it, but you can still take it on a trip. With a larger size than traditional laptops, this type of laptop still has its own advantages over other laptops.

The large size allows this laptop to use more sophisticated computer components as well as a larger screen. However, most of this type of laptop does not have a large battery capacity. In this type of laptop there are two subcategories that are commonly found, namely laptops and laptops media center and laptop gaming.

Media Center Laptops

Laptops like this are generally not sold in the market but are the result of recycle from an old laptop that still works. Media Center laptops, as the name implies, are only used to store media data and only use the media player program. This laptop is also designed to be able to play media to a television screen or other external output.
