Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Prequel Zelda Review BOTW

Hyrule Warriors Review: Age of Calamity

Previously for all of you fans of Zelda Breath Of The Wild, we remind you that perfection belongs only to BOTW. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a prequel to BOTW’s Zelda that takes the timeline 100 years before the events of BOTW. This game, which was released on 20 November, has game mechanics, an exciting musou concept and an interesting storyline. Here is the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Review from the idgameware team.

Diverse Characters

You can play many characters here including impa as well as 4 champions divine beasts with each of their special skills, for Zelda BOTW fans, you must be familiar with these characters.

Musou Game Concept

Adopting the musou concept like the Dynasty Warriors series is something new that we encounter in this game. You can slaughter hundreds of enemies with Link, Impa with each of their skills. Here you can still use standard skills in the previous game such as throwing bombs, magnets, stopping time, making icebergs and also archery.

Cool Combos of each Character

Link has a combo with a sword and also shoots multiple enemies at once, while the impa can teleport by marking the area. Each character has a special skill that you can activate by pressing the A button after your musou gauge is full. For weapons, you don’t need to be afraid that your weapons will be damaged, you can actually upgrade your weapons in this game.

However, there are some minuses that we found here, the storyline is quite shallow, causing this game to be poor in story depth, several times we also felt a drop in the frame rate which was actually not too disturbing. But this game is rich in content and side missions that can keep you from getting bored. This review of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is what we recommend for those of you who want casual gaming without having to think hard about finishing this game that is only exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
