Arena of Valor World Cup is held online with a prize pool of IDR 7 billion

August 12, 2022 Garena as publisher from games Arena of Valor officially announced that this summer the Arena of Valor World Cup will be held on their official website. Garena collaborated with Tencent Games as the organizer of this year’s Arena of Valor World Cup.

Adapt to the current situation. The competition will be made different from before, namely virtual. Garena and Tencent Games promise that there will be an interesting experience in the competition even though it is virtual. Wow, can’t wait.

The Arena of Valor World Cup will bring together the strongest teams from 8 regions to compete for a prize of USD 500 thousand or equivalent to IDR 7 billion. There will be 3 teams representing 8 regions to compete in play events later.

These 8 regions are divided into: Indonesia, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Mainland China, Thailand and Vietnam. The competition will last approximately one month. The group phase will be held on 19 – 27 August 2022, quarter-finals 30 August – 4 August 2022, semi-finals 10 – 11 August 2022 and the Grand Final 18 August 2022.

To maintain the safety of AOV players and fans, the competition will be held in an immersive virtual environment to create an interesting experience for the audience. The audience will be able to enter a virtual stage whose time is adjusted to the real world.

The aim is to overcome the differences in the geographical location of each region. So that the audience still feels their presence on the stage even though virtually. My suggestion is to try using the VR Gear, maybe it will be more pronounced, yes.

Arena of Valor World Cup will also facilitate several streaming platforms for those of you who want to watch online. There will be 5 local commentators in English, Indonesian, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese.

Wow, can’t wait, huh? Can this competition compete with the World Cup in 2022? We’ll see later and soon booked your date so you don’t forget the competition schedule.
