Warner Bros. Announces Release Schedule for Blade Runner Sequel

Warner Bros has finally determined the official release schedule for the sci-fi film sequel Blade Runners. The film is slated to arrive in the United States on July 12, 2022. The time coincides with the start of Martin’s holiday weekend Luther King Jr.

As reported AceShowbiz, Thursday (18/2/2022), the sequel to Blade Runner will face an animated film called Gnomeo and Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes. This film is a continuation of Gnomeo & Juliet which was released in 2011.

Blade Runners 2 is a direct continuation of the first film directed by the director Ridley Scott which was released 34 years ago. Harrison Ford back to appear as Rick Deckard. While the role to be played Ryan Gosling which is relatively new in franchise has not been announced.

But the story is expected to take place decades after the conclusion of the original film. In the first film, the focus of the story centers on a retired police corps officer who is called Blade Runner for hunting down paratroopers replicant on earth.

The sequel to the film is slated to begin shooting in the summer of 2022. The film is directed Denis Villeneuve (Sicario Prisoners) replace Ridley Scott who is currently serving as a producer.

The full synopsis for the film has yet to be revealed, but Scott said in September 2015 that it was likely that Harrison Ford would be the Replicant. Blade Runners 2 slated to hit theaters in 2022.
