The Batman Spinoff Starring Colin Farrell in Development

Directed by Matt Reeves with Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, the upcoming film The Batman will tell the story of the Dark Knight’s early journey when eradicating crime in Gotham City.

Later, Batman will face iconic enemies such as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), The Riddler (Paul Dano), Penguin (Colin Farrell) and several other Gotham criminals.

Jeffrey Wright will play the role of commissioner Jim Gordon and Andy Serkis will be Bruce Wayne’s loyal servant, Alfred. In addition Barry Keoghan, John Turturro and Peter Sarsgaard will also appear in the film The Batman.

Already Planning Some Spinoffs

The Batman already has several spinoff plans. The first is the Gotham Police Department spinoff. Reportedly the series will be titled Gotham PD. Matt Reeves confirmed that the story will focus on Jim Gordon and his corrupt underlings.

And now the latest news says that one of the Batman villains will also be getting his own solo series. Launching a report from Varietya spinoff focusing on the character Penguin (Colin Farrell) is in early stages of development on HBO Max.

The series will tell about the Penguin’s journey to rule Gotham. Although still in the early stages of development, Lauren LeFranc has been appointed to write the script.
