Review of Tekken 7 PC (Steam) What are the System Requirements?
Tekken 7 is one of the best-selling fighting game series to hit PC. Finally, PC gamers who like this one fighting game series can enjoy it and even play it in multiplayer.
We think a lot of PC gamers played Tekken 3 on the PlayStation when they were little in the 90s. It seems Tekken 3 is a mandatory game that must be played by gamers in its time. Not only that, at its time, Tekken was a 3D game that looked really cool with high detail. Tekken offers a gameplay mechanic that is quite different in its time. This game appears with an active camera that shoots all angles.
Tekken itself tells the story of the struggle between the Mishima family. It started with Heihachi Mishima who tortured his son, Kazuya Mishima, because he was very weak and had no “male” nature in him. Therefore, to make Kazuya strong, Heihachi tortured him, even throwing him into the abyss (this story can be seen in the movie Tekken: The Motion Picture and also the ending Ling Xiaoyu in Tekken 5). In the end, Kazuya took his revenge against Heihachi and challenged his father in the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Kazuya’s evil side appears and turns him into a demon. Finally Kazuya meets Jun Kazama whom he ends up marrying. Their marriage gave birth to Jin Kazama who became the protagonist of Tekken 3. Only Jun can withstand the demon that is inside Jin’s body. Unfortunately, Kazuya hates his son and the two of them fight each other. Even though Kazuya hates Jin, he still harbors a bitter grudge against his father. Jin also hates Heihachi. And the basic story of Tekken is a family fight between grandfather, son, and grandson.
Tekken 7 Story Plot
The seventh sequel is still telling a family conflict that will never end. In the previous sequel, Jin led the Mishima Zaibatsu (a family company) and went on an adventure to find a creature that was considered to be the source of the demonic powers that existed within the Mishima family. After meeting Azazel, Jin finally crushed the creature. Heihachi who was thought to be dead in Tekken 5 finally comes back to life. He took control of the company again after Jin left. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Kazuya who also owns a large company called G-Corporation opposes every action taken by the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Graphics and Gameplay
For graphics, Tekken 7 is designed using Unreal Engine 4 which is known to be an engine for high-end games, one of which is Final Fantasy XV. Unreal Engine 4 has proven that this engine can adapt to the visual approach of many developers. If previously Tekken was only released on consoles, now Bandai Namco is boldly releasing it to PC also through Steam. Thanks Steam! In addition, with Unreal Engine 4, Tekken 7 features stunning details and smooth animations. You can see how sharp the details are.
Starting from the muscles and veins, to the fibers of the clothes that are in each character. For this series, Bandai Namco also makes a more dynamic weather effect so that it displays a more realistic impression. Tekken 7 still features many roasters from the previous series such as Nina Williams, Bryan Fury, Julia Chang, Hwoarang, Eddy Gordo, Marshall Law, and many more. In addition, you are also presented with new characters that you have never seen before. On the gameplay side, the gameplay mechanics aren’t much different, so old Tekken players don’t need to adapt.
Like the previous series, Tekken always focuses on a fighting style that is full of attack combinations. In this seventh game, Story Mode is the main mode in this game. In Story Mode you will find the presence of the Assist button which makes it easy for players to access combination attacks by simply pressing one Trigger button + one other button. This Assist button will make it easier for new players who were not previously fans of Tekken.
Different from the previous series, in Tekken 7 you will find a new feature, namely the ultimate attack which is also in Bandai Namco’s other flagship fighting game, Soul Calibur. This ultimate attack or Rage Arts will produce considerable damage and cool animation. There is one thing that is unfortunate in Tekken 7, namely the VR mode which seems only cosmetic. This VR mode is only a practice battle.
