Cyberpunk 2077 - The Long Wait Has Finally Come!
Gamers’ long wait for Cyberpunk 2077 finally ended at the end of 2022. This one game was designed by the same developer as the successful RPG game called The Witcher 3. Of course, many expect the same luxury that has been given by The Witcher 3 which until now there are still a lot of players. Cyberpunk 2077 takes a very different theme from The Witcher. From the name, it’s Cyberpunk, this game made by CD Projekt Red carries that theme. In here you will find a dystopian world where humans are controlled by technology. There are many half-humans or full androids in this world, showing an apocalyptic theme full of neon colors.
This game went through seven years of development and began to be showcased at many game exhibitions around 2022. Basically, the Cyberpunk 2077 game is inspired by a story written by a board game designer named Mike Pondsmith. In this game you can surround a futuristic city called Night City which has a very large scale. Like games with open world themes, here you can take cars or motorbikes from previous riders. In Cyberpunk 2077, you will play the role of a main character named V from a first-person perspective. However, it’s a shame that after the release of this game, there were a lot of unpleasant things, especially the many bugs and glitches that sometimes didn’t make gamers comfortable. However, is this game worth buying? On this occasion, Game Friends will discuss RPG games with open world elements made by CD Projekt Red. Therefore, follow this article to the end!
Cyberpunk 2077 storyline
The story of this game is set in a city called Night City which is filled with the latest technology and also neon colored lights around the streets. The lights glow with bright colors at night. Behind this big, futuristic, and beautiful city, it turns out that there is a life that is not that beautiful. Poverty and crime color the beautiful city called Night City. The big cities that were built did not escape the existence of large corporations that directly and indirectly control human life. The ideal which wants to fuse humans with technology has finally become a dystopia.
In this game, you will play a main character named V who you can choose from where he comes from. Although there are 3 options from V, in the end the storyline that you play will not be different from each other. V is offered to become a mercenary by someone named Jackie to increase his popularity and coffers of wealth. To become rich and popular, you and Jackie must work dangerous jobs.
In carrying out such dangerous work, the two of them certainly did not go smoothly. On their way, V and Jackie met a rocker named Johnny Silverhand who wanted to destroy a large corporation called Arasaka. That’s most of the story plot that was carried by Cyberpunk. How about the gameplay?
Gameplay and Graphics
One aspect that steals the attention of this RPG game is of course the graphics. Especially for the first time out, this game wants to exhaust all component capabilities to work as hard as possible in order to get graphics that are right-aligned at 60 fps. In fact, the highest graphics card such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 alone cannot smoothly play this game at 4K resolution at 60 fps. This reminds us of the game Crysis which was released a few years ago.
Cyberpunk 2077 wants to display quality graphics with the latest ray tracing technology. As a result, GPU and CPU capabilities must be pushed continuously. Even with DLSS technology, where the graphics quality is upscaled, the RTX 3090 is still quite sloppy.
Then, for the gameplay, this game is basically an RPG game with a first-person perspective. CD Projekt Red does not feature a third-person mode. In addition, this game carries an open world style that allows you to go around anywhere. However, don’t expect this game to be like GTA V, because this game focuses more on the RPG aspect. In addition, although this game presents stunning graphic quality, this game has shortcomings, namely in terms of realistic elements which in our opinion are very lacking. You will not see details such as a body falling and lying from a car if you drop yourself while the car is moving at speed. And one more thing that makes this game get hot criticism, namely bugs and glitches, even though the latest patch has been released.
The long wait doesn’t always end with satisfaction like this Cyberpunk 2077 game. After its release, it turns out that this game is full of bugs and glitches. Some gamers love, and others berate. Moreover, there is a case behind CD Red Projekt which does not employ its workers fairly and well. Junebe this is a lesson for developers to be even better at working on a game.
